Unfortunately, many high school students do not have the chance to learn STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) disciplines before colleges. Such limited opportunities do not allow to determine students’ career paths in a proper way. Based on this aspect, KSEA Chicagoland (Korean-American Scientist and Engineers Association) has provided a mentoring program designated for Korean high school student near Chicago area since 2018. The main goal of the mentoring program is to develop student’s understanding of STEM disciplines and to utilize their own abilities to find and solve a problem. The mentors in this program are expertise in various STEM fields and have long-term experience. Up to the current program, more than thirty high school students completed their projects and successfully delivered their final reports. We are now accepting new applications for the 4th 2020-2021 KSEA Chicagoland Mentoring program. Please refer to the materials via the links below to learn more about the program and mentors. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all 2021-2022 programs will be carried out via an on-line platform.
